Possess the Land not only gives me a great road map of home ownership preparation but also became an amazing Spiritual devotion about reaching/possessing my current life goals. There is a paragraph at the beginning of the book that talks about how long it took the Children of Israel to get out of the wilderness. It took them 40 years of wondering in the wilderness when as Shakeima wrote the actual journey from Egypt to the land that God had promised them really was only an 11 day journey. I thought how many things in my life have I caused to take longer than what God's plan was for my life. Many times out of fear or not being obedient to God I end up trying to do things my way and messing it up. The book continues as a easy read and encourages you to stay the course. Another favorite chapter is Facing your Giants!!! Ch.6 (Possessing the Land) goes into great detail defining or simplifying those hard to understand real estate buying terms like what closing cost include, making an offer, the home inspection process, and more. I am excited about reading this book. I am going to use this book in conjunction with the Prayer Journey we are having on July 15th, 2017at Poplar Spring Missionary Baptist Church. There will be a room for people to pray about possessing the land and buying a house.
Shakeima did a phenomenal job with the content! This book is packed with great substance from both an investor and spiritual perspective. It's comprehensive details was strategically orchestrated with excellence. An absolutely skilled writer, I'm absolutely impressed with her and will be sure to look for her next book!
